Exploring Appalachian State University

1) Warm Up: Planner Update
  1. Fill in any upcoming due dates, tests, projects, family events, etc in your planner.
2) App State Overview Poster

  1. Break into three groups.
  2. Put your topic on your cardstock.
  3. Browse through your assigned page.
  4. Add three interesting facts and a doodle to your cardstock and attach this to our class poster board.
  5. Topics:
    1. General Information
    2. Support Services
    3. Admissions
  6. Next, explore student life at ASU.
  7. Choose two clubs/organizations you are interested in. Consider clubs that are related to hobbies or clubs that will improve your resume as you move toward a career.
  8. On your index card piece, write "I will join _____ and _____ because ______."
  9. Attach your index card piece to the border of our poster.

  1. Make sure you are logged into your LCS account and complete the form below to help us personalize our App State trip!

Successful Student Portfolio

1) Warm Up:

  1. Add your quarter one grades to your Progress Report Grades graph in your Advisory guide.
  2. Fill in your College Career Readiness, Time Spent Studying and Procrastinating, and Positivity charts.
2) Get Set:

  1. Select an activity to complete today.
  2. Note this in your log.
  3. *Optional Activity: Stress Reduction Visualization Practice*
  4. If you have not been filling in your log, DO THAT before you forget! It is part of your grade!

3) GO! Complete the activity you chose for today.

4) Record: Add any related artifacts to your Advisory Guide.

5) Reflect: Reflect in your log.
